Mario Granados, MBA, CPA
Mario Granados, MBA, EA, CPA serves as a Senior Advisor at Mueller & Associates. Mr. Granados possesses over thirty years of public accounting experience, having held multiple senior level roles in financial auditing, corporate and managerial accounting, and individual and corporate income taxation. A dual credentialed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and IRS-licensed Enrolled Agent (EA), Mr. Granados began his public accounting career as an audit associate at at the Big Four public accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC); where he focused his practice on international clients with subsidiaries in Latin America. He then continued his career as a Senior Associate at another Big Four public accounting firm, KPMG, LLP, where his focus remained on financial audits for publicly traded entities subject to complex international accounting transactions and consolidated financial statement reporting. Mr. Granados then transitioned to spend nearly two decades in private practice, where he served in numerous senior accounting positions, mainly as Controller, in a variety of industries in the Cleveland, Ohio area. He then made the move to Austin, TX where he held multiple tax advisory roles at local firms before joining our team.
Mr. Granados holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from Costa Rica University, a Master Degree of Computer and Information Systems (MCIS) from Cleveland State University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Accounting from Cleveland State University. He is licensed as a CPA in Texas by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, and in Ohio by the Accountancy Board of Ohio. Mr. Granados is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA).
